Time & Again Photography began as a result of my interest in history and photography. For years I have researched old photographs and taken the new images for my own collection.

The vintage images have been obtained from archives and libraries throughout the United States, public and private, from the National Archives to local libraries. After researching these collections, I do my best to ascertain the approximate year of the photograph by examining the buildings, clothing of the people, transportion and other objects in the image (or by looking to see if the image is dated). I then set out and attempt to find the location from where the photograph was taken. If this can be done, I then establish the exact perspective of the image and capture the modern view.

The older images were originally exposed on several types and sizes of medium; daguerreotypes, stereoviews, transparencies, glass, 6" x 8", 18" x 22", 8" x 10", etc. The modern views are all exposed on black and white film using my Nikon 35mm SLR.

I take great care in mounting, matting and framing each set of images. The prints are both 8" x 10" black and white images mounted on acid-free foam core backing and matted with acid-free white mat board. Each set also displays the subject of the images and the years in which they were taken. They are framed with black metal sectional frames and glass and are ready for hanging. The outside dimensions of the sets are 12 1/4" x 24 1/4" for those mounted horizontally and 15 1/4" x 18 1/4" for those mounted vertically.
